Cut Out Hair

1. Load up your start image -

2.Using the Pen Tool, make a selection around your subject. When it comes to the
hair don't try and go around each strand but just select the basic shape.

3. We are going to use the Smudge Tool (it’s the one that looks like a finger) to put some wisps of hair back.
Once you have the Smudge Tool selected, choose the spatter brush (one of PS's default brushes) and set the strength to about 50%.
4. Start pulling wisps out from the existing hair working your way round until you have something that resembles natural hair -

5. When you have something you're happy with, put in your chosen background and you should have an image that will pass muster -
